In the SubwayI didn’t know what to do with myself so I went into the subway, descended the stairs into the guts of the city to listen to its movement. I sat on a plastic bench on the platform and watched the trains run by, the countless number of people getting in and out on their way to somewhere else; everyone traveling except me. A sense of urgency and a touch of temporary all around, and I could not help the feeling of being stuck overtaking me; but I suppose that was nothing new.

259/365. Taking a walk in my hometown. I love this place and I’ve spent countless hours here when I was young. We had this huge forest directly in front of our place and I would play there and draw treasure maps. I couldn’t imagine growing up back then.. and now I can’t imagine being that young and innocent again.

Ghost Box Pt. 4 #1 - Dancer Lindsey Renee Derry collaborated with me on improvised movement based on a short series of instructions and limitations I provided. The image is a single long exposure, no post-processing montage, combining both constant light with a multi-flash setup allowing me to freeze motion at various moments as needed.

"…But sometimes love Sometimes real love Is fucking rude Is interrupting a wedding mid vow just as the congregation is about to cry To stand up in your pew to say “is everyone here clear on how diamonds are mined?”
Hallelujah to every drag queen at Stonewall who made weapons out of her stiletto shoes Hallelujah to the blues keeping the neighborhood awake
To the activist standing in the snow outside of the circus holding a ten foot photograph of a baby elephant in chains when it’s probably some little kid’s birthday Hallelujah.to making everyone uncomfortable ..”
